Legal Aid for Muslim Immigrants

Two-and-a-half years ago, Banafsheh Akhlaghi gave up her career as a law professor to fight for the civil rights of Muslim families unwittingly caught up in the wide dragnet brought on by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We spent a day at her San Francisco law firm, which provides legal aid at a reduced rate or pro bono to Muslim immigrants.
