English Language Learners

Produced by Randa Cardwell

Education, like any other aspect of our society, is a complex undertaking involving a wide variety of participants: from students to teachers, from parents to administrators, from politicians to taxpayers. While we often compare California’s educational system to that of other states, in many ways, the sheer size and diversity of California’s population makes its schools peerless. For example, Californian is home to a substantial immigrant population and many of California’s K-12 students are learning English in school.
