Across the country people are debating the high cost of prescription drugs. However, the actual costs of their prescriptions vary sharply from state to state when measuring retail sales through pharmacies. At the low end is California, where the per capita costs are $392 annual–to nearly double that in Tennessee. The figures reflect the cost of prescriptions as well as number of prescription filled.
