It’s a common sight — drivers doing everything except paying attention to their driving. According to a recent national survey, 49% of motorists eat while driving, 25% are distracted by demanding kids, and 37% report falling asleep at the wheel. With one in four drivers talking on a mobile phone and hundreds of satellite radio channels moving in to our vehicles, the problem may be getting worse.
