In April 2006, Massachusetts became the first state in the Union that required all residents to have health insurance. In other words — Universal Health Care. In Massachusetts, 13% of residents have no health insurance compared to 21% in California. One report says it would cost us up to $9.4 Billion to provide the same universal coverage in California. It’s expensive but should we really place a price tag on people’s health?
